subaruski, he was just askin' a question, which I would agree with him on unless someone could show me on paper different. Ya don't gotta get your panties in a bunch and start being a biotch about it!

Yep - the RS 200 were/is still a great car. A friend of mine has two of these in the US. Both road versions, one with the rally spec engine and the other was just normal spec. He took me out on the rally spec and it was loud and fast. Kinda freak me out having sooo much hp right behind you.

I ended up buying an Escort RS Cosworth and I think the STi will be a good addition.

blueimport do you have any pics of your friends car. Cause he makes up for 2% of the 200 cars ever made.

I have a great picture but I have to respect him and ask if I can post. Sorry - I'm not being a snob - He just doesn't like showing his collection openly.

not sure how much he paid but he can afford it. He bought them when they first came out back in the 80's. I'll be talking with him tomorrow.

If you guys ever watch "Motorsports Mundial" on Speed Channel, sometimes they show the British Rallycross series, and you'll see a few RS2000's going against Focus', Peugeots, Renaults etc. That's some wierd-*** racing, you've got like 8 or 10 rally cars going door handle to door handle over tarmac/gravel/mud, all on one little road course.

Yep - that's my friend that sold me the RS Cosworth. The EVO 6 is a Tommy version. BTW - he also has two 959.

Does this guy only use those cars for racing? It would cost an arm and leg to get them federalized for road use. Getting them through customs would be a major pain in the a$$. But then again, there are always loopholes. Anyways, those are all awesome cars.

No - he doesn't race the cars (although some of them were former rally cars) , he takes them out on the track which is nearby. He does however race Spec cars.

Really nice guy and a great educator about cars and driving theories. I thought I was a good driver until I met him.

Thumbs up

Well, if it's the only Ford you'd EVER drive, you better learn how to spell it correctly. Cosworth And yes, the Cossie is badass. There was one in Boulder, CO when I was living out there. Seeing one on the street in the U.S. is a rare sight.
