A few from my daughter's 5th grade camping trip we just returned from. All taken with the p&s Canon. I just didn't have the space nor hands to bring the Nikon.

Its been a while, so here are some new pics. All taken in Petrolia, CA with my Nikon D90 and Nikkor 18-105mm lens.

Mother and child, same inscription on both graves: "The midnight stars shine on this grave, the one we loved but could not save."

"In memory of an only treasure. A beloved schoolmate, a loving friend."

Nice pics. I was up in your area (Shelter Cover/Redway) for my 40th b-day - doing a really fun and beautiful (from the feedback) shoot.
Take some night pictures in the cemetery in the full moon.

You never know what you might capture.

I love this photo! It has dramatic lighting and a total fairy tale vibe that gives it an extra dimension. I really like that you can't see his face and that you arent exactly sure what he is doing in the middle of decorative landscape. Good job!
In the other shots, I like the subject but some of the border angles on the photos make them a bit hard to look at. They are tilted to a point where you have to try to find a good angle to look at them and it makes it akward. I really like the subjects, but my only advice would be to watch the borders and make sure you are taking a photograph that focuses on the subject itself rather than the angle of the borders.
The best way to figure out a camera is to use it in all sorts of situations, basically trial and error. I will admit I still have issuses shooting at night. I find that using a tripod or a unipod/monopod helps to make sure the camera stays steady and makes sure that during a long(er) exposure there isnt a large amount of blurring and lighting issues.
I'll shut up now...haha....
You've got the eye Jen and I can't wait to see more photos from you

OMG I love it! He's so cute!!!
I really like the depth of focus on the second one!
I actually would have liked to have seen you chasin' that guy around trying to get a picture lol Probably would have been a hilarious photo opprotunity.
I have four squirrels living in the tree outside of my front door and they are all bright red and golden orange and I would love to photograph them but they are fast and wont hold still! lol
@Matt - Enough feedback for ya?
