Thank you!!! It's pretty hard to take a bad picture out there. I'd definitely recommend heading out that way. I literally get overwhelmed sometimes by how many great places there are to shoot along that road. Just make sure you have plenty of film and a full tank of gas If you end up heading out there please post the pics here!

Here is one more from Petrolia. Shrunk down for myspace and the original is hiding somewhere, but you get the idea! The BF would kill me if he knew I put this up, but I love this shot so whatever!

A few of mine

I don't claim to be a photographer, but I like to shoot.
First ones are of a recent trip to Death Valley, my buddy took the one of me at the wheel (errr, what used to be a wheel).
A few of Burning Man Fashion shows, and the temple burning in 07.
The frog and the scout (AWD)are from last weekend on the Yuba river.
All of them are untouched, unaltered.

Enjoy, or hate.
-Kevin

The Fire shot was painful. My brother and I were in nomex. The only people infront of us were firefighters in approach suits. My brother helped build and protect the temple. We placed some of fathers ashes in the center.

That was the temple at Burningman last year. Every year, they build and burn a temple the night after the man burns. It is a quiet and spiritual ceremony. Many people leaves pictures, notes and momentos of people they have lost. For many, it is closure of the event as it is the last night.

-hope that helps

I just snapped this one while Kramer was laying there, unfortunately I had the macro lens on the camera and new if I went to get the normal lens he'd move.

Wow, awesome again and thanks for the "for sale" tips! I don't need top dollar from these lenses - what they are worth is fine. They are barely used and in great shape tho, and I have the boxes, cards etc.

wrexr - that fire shot is pretty nutty. Must have been very challenging!

I took a bunch of pics on our trip to Sweden but none of them are very good. The ones from Stockholm I posted above are about it and here's one from the wedding:

Arguably, it's unfortunate that we're not film users. All of our images are on Digital, me with a D300, and her with a D80. We've been out there on a couple of occasions, and are planning on doing it again. We're going to see if we can get reservations at the local inn where we've stayed before, as they are pet friendly.

Hey wassup, my name is Darryl but don't tell anyone else . We have another one this Saturday at 4pm. Here is the info:

Ok so at the last event, things were a bit chaotic and i felt that some people were left out of the loop. This time around, im going to run it a little different. its going to be more of a lecture/lab setup. those of you still in college know what im talking about. for those of you who hasnt seen the inside of a college outside of the occassional Girls Gone Wild, Dorm Edition promo vids, it goes like this: we will all meet a shooting spot, then decide as a group how to set the subject up. we will discuss the technical aspects of the final pose and then have everyone set up and we will all take pictures of the same subject. then we will move the subject around as a group and repeat. the premise behind this is so that everyone understand the reasoning behind the pose, the relationship between the subject and its surroundings, and why light placement is so important. i hope all you fellas from last night can make it.

Date: August 23rd
Time: 4pm
Meeting Location:
Q Cups
1679 N Milpitas Blvd
Milpitas, CA

Scott will run point on this again as i wont be able to make it there untill about roughly 5:30pm.

Pics from last week
