April's Photography Assignment: "Light"

First off, my apologies for taking half of the month to post up the assignment. Since the time is shortened, I'm only posting one assignment.

Please be sure to read the rules before posting your contributions! Muchos gracias

April's Theme: Light
Pretty much anything related to light (or I guess lack there of?). So have fun with this one!

Rules:
  • Photo has to be taken within the given month
  • Photo must be your own work
  • Please only submit ONE photo per assignment (in this case, 1 per theme)
  • If possible please post all the photo info such as lens, f/ stop, shutter speed, etc.
  • All photos are open to C&C unless otherwise noted by poster

Ending Date: April 30th

This isn't a competition, just a themed assignment for those who wish to participate. The only reason there is a due date is to keep the thread from going on and on. Feel free to PM me with options for other themes.

Constructive Criticism
The point of limiting criticism to Constructive Criticism to to keep people from just going "wow, your photo sucks" without offering a means for improvement. You could go "The composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." It would also nice and helps people receive CC better if you balance a negative with a positive such as "Well the lighting is nice, but the composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." or "I like the composition overall, but the busy background distracts me from the subject's face.'

If you guys need help thinking of how to apply the theme of light, I'll shoot out some ideas to spark creativity.

^Why would you need to do work on such an outstanding image? Looks great from where I'm sitting.

I agree with Roo, great shot! I love the kind of gradiated light from top left to bottom right.

Went out the other night thinking of shots too take. I think I'll be in a food coma tonight, but hopefully tomorrow night I can get the shot I want

Just finished a roll and took it in to be developed. May not have time to shoot more before next Thursday! One of the joys of film is the surprises I get when I pick up the envelope ... because the roll has been the in camera so long I've forgotten what I took!

I'm thinking about b/w conversion with some slight darkening and tonal mixture - perhaps a nice underexposed sepia.
