WTB: impreza wagon
I'm in the PNW, and looking for an impreza wagon. I'm not ready to buy immediately, I'm in the process of freeing up my driveway by selling some cars first. It's my first scooby, I've been a VW guy forever. (like 15 years, since I could drive..) Anyhow. It seems like there aren't too many wagons around..I'd like to find one with a sunroof, but IIRC, they never offered it with the wagon. I would prefer blue or silver, and the year is not real important to me. AWD is the big thing. I"m not afraid of a car that needs a bit of work, like a light hit or small body work. 2.2 is a plus, but not essential. I haven't been able to find a local salvage yard that has rebuildables, but I do have some connections that may be able to help me out. (VW yard owner might be willing to find me one.) I wouldn't mind buying a slightly modified one, but I'm not real excited about spending over 8-9k. In fact, as an E-4 military, I'd like to spend less. Any tips or places to look would be great, or maybe I can save your older scooby from a trip to the trade-in lot......
I have a LOT of VW experience, if you have ?'s, ask....

well, I just met with Eric from frantic four, and it seems that he has a nice one lined up for me-5 speed wagon , 125k , blue OBS. I should know if he was able to get it by the weekend. If so, I'll be rolling my soob in a few weeks, which is good, since I'm riding my bike everywhere until I get a car....at least I can justify my eating habits for a few weeks.....
