STi DEBUT in PORTLAND
Want to truly be the first to see the STi in Portland?
Hot off the press. Subaru Western Region has arranged for the ALL-NEW Subaru STi to make it's first Northwest public appearance in Portland's "Living Room". That's right, the STi will be on display in Pioneer Courthouse Square on Wednesday January 29th from 11:30AM until 1:30PM. As part of a press promotion to kick off the Portland International Auto Show, the long awaited STi will be showcased along with several promotional vehicles from area radio stations. It is estimated that up to 20 area radio stations will be present with many of them broadcasting live from the event.
This is your chance to show all of Portland how strong the Subaru Family is in Portland. Subaru Western Region is encouraging ALL Subaru enthusiasts to make your presence known and show up downtown to display your support. If you have the time, dress in your fanciest Subaru Duds and join us at the Square to welcome the STi to the Northwest. I strongly encourage you caravan down with as many Subaru's as possible around NOON and take a victory lap around the Square before coming in to join us at the event. (I can envision it now; one large line of beautiful Subaru's slowly strutting their stuff in a parade around Pioneer Courthouse Square. A beautiful thought...) Hopefully, some of you will get the chance to express your support of Subaru and the new STi live over the radio.
Politically Correct Common Sense Liability Note: Although we strongly encourage you to show up in masses downtown, we also encourage you to obey all traffic and safety laws and be courteous to pedestrians and bicyclist. I have also been informed that there is some sort of cruising law in effect. I am not sure what constitutes "cruising" but please try to be aware of this.
