Rallycross...May 11th
Just wanted to let everyone know that the first rallycross is May 11th..which is also Mother's Day.
They have yet to announce which groups will run in the morning, but I wanted to get the word out!!

Rally Cross is a big field with a course laid out in cones. Then a water truck drive the course and gets it all wet. Then a TON of cars line up and drive the course one at a time trying to drive on slick mud and avoid cones. The driver is either alone or with a passenger and both are wearing helmets.
I have done one and it was fun save for the wait time between runs.

Just like an autocross, but on a grassy field. Gets the car muddy..but well worth the fun!!

Fairgrounds are off Hwy26 West (sunset hwy).
You need to take the Shute road exit..follow it down to Cornell Road and take a right...the fairgrounds are on the left about a 1/4 mile up...
Just follow the signs to the Hillsboro Airport...which is right across the street.
Fairly easy to get to...let me know if you need more info.

Here are the details on the Rallycross!!
Sunday May 11th ORG Rallycross, to be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds:
Morning session:
Classes: Production, Group 2, Group 5, Truck/SUV
Registration opens at 8:00 am and closes at 9:00 am SHARP!
Driver's Meeting: 9:15am
Parade Lap: 9:30am for all cars.
First Car Out: 9:45 am
Afternoon Session:
Classes: Production GT and Open.
Registration opens at 11:00 am and closes at 12:00 am SHARP!
Driver's Meeting: 12:15
Parade Lap: 12:30pm for all cars.
First Car Out: 12:45 pm
Please Note Entry Fee Change from 2002 due to increased event costs.
Entry fees:
$25 (non-SCCA)
$20 (SCCA member)
