Oregon Emissons

Does Oregon have emmission testing. I living in Hawaii right now and we don't have emmission, we have recon. Where would I find some info on emmission? I'll be moving up there next summer and living in Beaverton.

Yep, we do emissions testing..unfortunately.

I live in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area too.

Going thru DEQ can be a drag sometimes. If you want my advice, avoid taking the car thru at the first or last week of the month. People tend to put it off till the last minute and go around that time. First time I took my car thru I went during the last week of the August and had to wait an hour and a half. Two month ago when my tags were going to expire, I went in the middle of the month and I drove right up for the test.

Hopefully I’ll be picking up a WRX next month so I can join the crowd.

We do it every two years...doesn't take long at all if you don't get stuck in the lines.

They have a thing now, too, where you can get your new stickers for the plate as soon as you pass the emissions test, so it saves you a trip to DMV. And not all of Oregon does emissions testing, but the Beaverton/Hillsboro/Portland area does
