for this kind of bulb you need to but the garlic in damp dirt and do not over water until the sprount gets about 1.5 inches tall or it will grow fungus and rot.

The sprout is already 1 inch and it has only been two days in the water.

The roots are about 1/2 inch.

I will put it in the window with the Aloe Vera "tree" that you gave me. That think is going wild too.

I stood in front of those Habaneros at Larry's Market for a good 5 minutes trying to convince myself why I *needed* to buy a few and add them to my stir fry.

I settled for the red chile peppers instead.

I wimped out.

Sprout is now 4 inches tall. Time to plant it in some soil.

The Habbees are just damn good! If you trim out the membrane and the seeds well enough they are nowhere near as overpowering as they could be.

They are my new best friend. (Though I was cursing their name this morning, due to my post above)
