In my attempt to revive what I define, "as probably the most God Forsaken and pathetic excuse of a Regional thread in all of automotive interest Forum Kingdom" I want to start off by introducing myself and tell you about what I'm trying to do in terms of getting this section of the regionals moving again. My actual name can be found within my username, you know the thing right above my avatar. As for what I do and how I became a Subaru enthusiast; I'm a full time student here at the University of Washington and I've loved Subarus since '98 when I first happen to come upon the mighty 2.5 RS. As for the car I currently drive is this little number down in the picture. Now you might ask, how can I be a Subaru loyalist, when I have a Mazda well to make a long story short Subaru's have always managed to stay out of my grasp, call it divine intervention, if you will. Or maybe its the fact that I don't have the kind of money or resources to purchase, say an STI. Moving on to what I want to achieve with the PNW section of the regionals is something what maybe IS2SCOOBY achieved with the Hawaii regionals, but not nearly as much content or dedication that he had put into his, as I do not have the God-like powers that he had nor the resources. I would also like to point out that I do realize most of the Subaru owner's in the NorthWest are very active on Nabisco, but theres too much drama over there and their a bunch jack asses anyway. So there we go.... hopefully I can do something to bring this region back to life but I can only do so much. Peace to the people of the Great Northwest. - JunEJ20

Nice car and good luck to the forums. Subaru's are getting to look more like Mazda every day anyway.
I've been here (the new i-club) since day one when the original i-club got renamed into nabisco and alex started over here.
At first quite a few NW people came here but there were a few banned people at nabisco that came here and bashed and slammed every poster and most people just settled back down over there.
don't know the whole history but I been on the subaru forums since Nov 1999. I was going to buy a 1999 in April of that year but I bought a house in May instead. Joined Alex's forums when it was named impreza-rs.com (if you type in that domain name it still brings you here. I joined impreza-rs.com in Nov 1999 but didn't realize there were forums there till Jul 2000 when I joined the forums. (was new to computers and didn't even know what a forum was) After Alex got i-club.com name back from nabisco i think he bought up the old impreza-rs.com name too.
Maybe with some dedicated work things can pick back up on this forum.

I've been photo chopping the 08 trying to improve the looks to something I would want.
Took the points off the grill and headlights, removed the FORD front badge. Made the bumper wider were the FMIC would go and put in bigger fog lights, (one more bar inside the fog too), bigger fender flares (work in progress) Larger rear spoiler, bigger rear bumper with bigger tips. bigger side skirts. and bigger scoop.

Look at my post on sticky thread Northwest Members Check-in.. (6th post down) my statements not true any more. oh well them were the good old days.

^^^ Thanks man.
Haha nice. Yeah actually I'm driving something similar to the smart car back and forth to school, a Toyota Yaris (my sisters ride). Its pretty good for the Tacoma to Seattle commute, as I usually go back down on the weekends and holidays. The 8 sucks ***** for gas mileage. I'm probably goin to start another thread about the '08 STI sometime tomorrow.

I know they have a meet about every month at Carls Jr in Tacoma, but other then that your probably gonna have to check Nasioc for any meets in the NW, which by the way I depise...

Well, I am trying to do my part in waking the 'sleeping giant' which is the PNW region here on i-club. We are down here in the Mexico of the Northwest, Southern Oregon... opposite ends but same goals.
We have been having weekly meets to build our contact base and find new 'members' as well. We pick up 2-3 new cars/owners every week. So by the time some warmer weather comes about we should have a pretty strong showing for weekend events!
Soon we will have a web site up with a blog, owner's rides, posting of meet pictures etc. Keep up to date here:
