Hey guys...in an effort to avoid drama and by Aaron's subtle recommendation, you'll probably find me spending a lot more time here from now on. Just wanted to say hi to a bunch of people I haven't seen in awhile

I am no longer the webmaster of PNWSEC. I quit about a month ago

 

I like how www.pnwsec.org AUTOMATICALLY REDIRECTS to the Subiegal.com crap. Not.

Put a link and let people go to the info page but don't redirect the whole site. That is just bush.

 

I took a look at that a week ago.

I have even seen the flyer, it looks like they just printed out the web site on yellow construction paper.

What confuses me: I let the domain registration lapse; sure, why should I have to deal with it?

What I don't get is that I am still the domain administrator, domain technical contact, and domain billing contact. I still have full control over where that domain points.

Maybe I'll just point the site at Subiegal.com so people don't are not falsely lead to believe that they are separeate.

 

WTF I didn't even notice that...I guess that's what happens when no one wants to do your site for you and you have to stick it into Frontpage instead of trying to learn some really basic HTML and PHP

 

Here are the real reasons why I quit.

1. I wanted to help PNWSEC (try) to become an organization that would include all Subaru owners in the area. However, as I started to get deeper into it, I began to realize that many people outside of the USMB/J-Club rift were also being excluded, and then the big split of I-Club furthered that even more. So much for unification...

2. PNWSEC has NO organization whatsoever. She wanted me to update the site...but with what? There was nothing to update the site with? I can't be told to update a site if I'm not given content to update it with. I suppose I was supposed to make something up?

3. Besides the above and the way J is, a few friends and I decided we should start something on our own...something where all that was required was just to hang out, have some fun, and enjoy our cars. Something completely laid back, yet still have some organization to it...and definitely something without any drama. An organized group of friends, if you will. We want to start small and if it gets big, great...if not, it doesn't matter. There will be no fees for membership (other than just paying for your own sticker should you choose to have one), no cards you'll need, no "club-only" meets...nothing like that. Just a group of Subaru owners who enjoy each other's company and just like to hang out, get together occasionally, and have a lot of fun. This is still in the works, but it might be ready more sooner than later.

That's pretty much it. I've got nothing to hide. If anyone wants to question my reasons or even critique them, be my guest
