Got assaulted by an old lady

Driving south bound on I-5 thru downtown Seattle I was merging from the express lane to the main freeway. There was a lot of traffic. My lane (far left) was ending and I had to get over (right) There was a 4 car length opening and I was going faster than the gold car(I think Mercedes) behind me in the lane I was merging into. I had already signaled then the person in the gold car floored it, but I was already in their lane. I understand that I was in the person's comfort zone but I had no other option but stopping the whole lane of traffic.
I continued on going 65 mph. Carpool lane started on the left. The gold car shot ahead of me in the carpool lane then cut me off and slammed on the brakes down to 35 mph. ABS worked great but there was almost a 5 car pileup behind me.
I continued on and let the car get a half mile lead. My exit was coming up so I started over to the right (had to go over 3 lanes) wouldn't you know the gold car was taking the same exit. The lady driving the gold car must have thought I was following her because as soon as I started the exit (about 150 ft behind her) she slammed on the brakes again! She stopped in the right exit only lane and I had no time to go around her. She (a 60 to 65 year old Chinese lady)walked back to me and my girlfriend and said "I'm an off duty police officer and your not going to get away with this" she started hitting me in the chest with her finger. I, sitting in my RS could not believe it. I said "lady, I'm not the one breaking the law, and this isn't the best place to stop, were going to get hit." Then she changed the story an said her husband was a police detective and she had my number and they were going to get me. She now was hitting me with a fist in the chest. I said "ok FOXY007 (Her license number)I got your number too". I was about to get out of the car and lay her out but the traffic was real bad and I just wanted to get off the road. There was a gap in the traffic so I went around her on the shoulder and went around the off ramp about 70 mph and she was out of sight. About a mile down the road I look in the rear mirror and I see that damn gold car weaving though the traffic trying to catch up to me. I turned off into a parking lot and around behind a building she kept on going. I called the state patrol and reported it. The dispatcher could not believe my story. Anyone know who has the Gold Mercedes with plate FOXY007 ???
Today, Zerly saw her again not more than a mile from my house. Her story will follow..
Update 04-19-2001
I was on my way home driving up 164th street when I notice a car tailgaiting me from behind. The car was swerving from side to side and I could not see the driver in it. I finally let it pass me and we both were at the stop light. I noticed the licensed plate "foxy007" and then it hit me that this was the same lady who assaulted us last year at the freeway exit in West Seattle. I don't know if she recognized me, but I decided to follow her. She was still driving very erratically up 164th street onto Mill Creek Blvd. Unfortunately down the way a few cars merged into the one lane street and I lost sight of her.

Saw her again today.
I was stuck in the left turn lane and could not follow to her house.

I know the feeling, theres some crazy people up here. Must be the rain?
I remember one time, driving down a two lane road through a buisness area, I was following a huge F350 dually pulling a big horse trailer. The limit was 40 and he was trucking along doing 30, hell there were semi's behind me.
No one coming the other way, so I pass him (was a double yellow). Yes it's illegal, but so are most u-turns, and there wasnt a person for a mile.
Anyway, obviously that just bothered the hell out of him, because he sees me pull into NAPA from about 1/2 a mile back, and pulls in after me. Ok I think, he's got a horse trailer, why's he at NAPA? So I think, maybe I'll pull out of here and go back around. So I pull out, guess what, guy in truck, horses n all, bombs out after me. So I'm like, **** this, im gone. So I pull into the local strip-mall area, so does he, and loose him easily (he's pulling horses and driving a truck? lol).
Anyway, gotta watch out for the nutcases. I had half a mind to stop, walk back to the trunk, and grab the tire-iron, but who knows what this ****er had in his mind to do.

I get flak all the time too, people get all butthurt when they see wrx's on the road. Sometimes it works out in your favor though. In Puyallup, I ran into this same burnette in a little civic hatch that would try racing me every time we passed each other. About 5 times in the last year. I don't know how often your in south hill. But she busted a 40 mph u-turn in the middle of Meridian to give me ****. Shes pretty cute though. So I got her name last time we encountered. Maybe her phone number next time.
Next time you see that Mercedes on the 5, just drop into third and smoke her dumbass.

Like WAY old, but I remember reading it when it happened.
I've never seen this woman in the gold benz, but if I do, well i'm not sure how i'll react. I very much dislike it when humans act in an unkind manner, but lately I just try to breathe and let things happen as they may without letting myself get "drawn into" anything. It works, and I suppose I'm better for it.
