Good drives??

I'm looking for some roads to just get out and do some driving on. You know, something fun and curvy like in the WRX commercials. I've heard the North Cascades Highway is fun AND scenic... any other good places???

We have had a couple of I-Club fun run meets over the Cascade Highway/SR-20...good trip.

Just be sure to stop in Concrete and eat at ANNIE'S PIZZA. That place is the Shiznit!

For something closer you can go out to the backside of Issaquah and Carnation area. There are some great roads with lots of Curves out there.

For a longer drive then the N Cascades are fun. You have to pass a lot if you want to go fast.

Yeah the North Cascade Highway I think it is from Sisters over the pass is PSYCHOTIC. I live in Eugene and go to visit parents in bend every week and yeah the road can tear you up. If your going to take I wouldn't watch out for cliffs as much as I would watch out for RV's coming around corners in your lane. Um, the Tombstone Highway towards corvallis from Bend is a great fun road. I reccomend taking it at night for the true driving experience. I am not sure if they fixed the road but when I took it at night last time there was a section of road a couple hundred feet long that was just gravel. Quite the surprise at 80 getting ready for a corner! lol...my all time favorite cornering road is taking Highway 101 right along the coast especially in the summer at sunset. good luck

Devil's Elbow is one wicked turn on 101 (central OR coast- Heceta head)- I also recommend the scenery north of Tillamook on 101. Like you said, at sunset, the bay is beautiful.
