Talking FS: 2001 RS tranny

Has around 110k miles on it. I used an exedy lightened flywheel and clutch with it. Gears all shift smoothly with no grinding, although there is a noticeable whine at some speeds. Don't know if the whine is a Subaru thing or just this tranny. I've never dumped the clutch on this tranny. It's been mated with a stock USDM STi motor and I've been very careful with it.

This is a great tranny if you're looking for shorter gears to boost your acceleration or just looking to upgrade to a different tranny.

Reason for selling? I'm swapping it out for a WRX tranny with RS final gear.

Pick up only, please.

I don't have room for this but would like to get a little something for it at least. So someone please make me a decent offer.

The swap will be done next weekend and the part should be available then.

I'm in Seattle. Interested parties are welcome to check out the tranny on the car.

Yea...it been whining for a while, but at some point it's gotten quite loud which had me concerned for a bit. Now it's quieted down a bit... odd. Oh well... Still looking forward to the upgrade .

I'm in Seattle. I guess I can look into shipping, I don't think it'll be ship something as big and heavy as a tranny. Buyer pays shipping, of course.
