ok so. i have a 00 LGT. the car i mis firering / sputtering. i can give it a little gas and slooooowly get up to speed but when i push the pedel down anymore it just sputters. running on 3 cylinders. hooked it up to the computer and all it gives is #4 mis fire. i replaced the plugs. then i replaced the wires and it stopped for a week or so then started again. i just replaced the coil and it didnt do anything. can anyone help me and come check it out? im now out of money to buy more parts.but im sure i can come up with something.

What about your injector? Could be clogged.

You can place a screwdriver or a dowl on the side of each injector and put the other end to you ear and listen. Each injector should sound uniform and the same with a pulsing sound. If you dont hear this on one it is either not squirting or is stuck open.

 

what did the plugs look like when you took them out? oil or gas fowled? ???

 

they didnt look to bad. i still replaced them though. i still havent looked at the injectors yet. im getting so sick of this damn car though.

 

can anyone help me out? i live in a condo and everytime i open my hood i have people stairing out the window at me. "were not supposed to do work there." so its kind of a pain. and i dont really get how to check my injectors.
