Bremerton Lapping Day June 17

Hi I just found out about this board so this is a little late notice. The Seattle Alfa Club is hosting a lapping day at Bremerton on Thursday June 17th. Cost was $90 last time I checked but generally goes up to $100 as it gets closer to the day. The contact is Patrick Hood phood56@hotmail.com or (206) 937-9291. Just print out the form from April 16th found on the "Events" page and just mail it in. Hope to see some of you out there!

A "lapping" day is when you get to drive your car on a track. It's a good way to get rid of that "Speed Bug" that most of us have. In the Seattle area, Bremerton and Pacific Raceways are the most popular tracks. Bremerton is mostly used as an autocross track but occasionally local clubs will setup a full course. In this case, this will be a Novice day so the Alfa club will be providing instructors for us. Hope that helped.

Any takers? Yes it's a Thursday but it'll be a great excuse to play hookie from work or wherever. I know of 3 others that are coming with me from other boards.

I'm thinking about it, but $100 is a little steep for me at the moment.

Damnit. I need to move back up there. I noticed the painted the inside of the corners the last time i was up there. I also hear that NASCAR may build a huge track back behind where the staging / pit lanes are.

It'd be awsome if they could get a NASCAR event up here. Hopefully it'll be a road track and not just an oval. Last I heard the track would go in the Monroe area. With a tax revenue of $100 Million in one weekend, I'd hope the govornment will support it.
