anyone have any wheels/tires for sale?

i have an 02 rs which i am trying to spiff up, it was just stolen and brutalized, so i am going to try and make it better than it was.. i am not rich though, so i am looking to buy a set of 04 sti wheels and tires some rota SDRs or Tarmacs, or anything comparable to them. i admit i really dont know much about the various wheels, those are ones i have been interested in so far..

Here's Rota Tarmac IIs and SDRs available in multiple finishes, $695 shipped including the lugs (you need them).

STi wheels are going to be a little bigger ticket item... they're over $3000/set new... and the cheapest you typically see them selling for in unmolested condition is a little under $2k.

Tarmac IIs look almost exactly like STi wheels (I have a set with snow tires for my STi)... and they would probably look sweet on your RS.

Just bear in mind this: When you put 17" wheels on your 2.5RS you're going to lose a considerable amount of accelleration, and your gas mileage will drop by 3-4 mpg.

Wasn't my experience, what can I say. I switched my RS back to RE92's on the 16" stockers because it was more fun to drive that way.

Well with 17x7.5" Satin finish bling bling Mille Miglia Cup 3S boat anchors on 225/45YR17 I can see why you said that.

he has a point, I put 17x7's on my leg that weigh 21 lbs and noticed no loss of mpg or acceleration.

I drive my car aggresively enough (at the appropriate times) taht Im pretty dam sure I would have noticed by now but ok.

True06 I'd go for those STI rims for 1700 thats about as cheap as their gonna get and the tires are pretty good I think

Yep and yep.

I'm pretty happy with the RE070's on my STi... they're decent tires, just high wear. Probably won't get much more than 15K out of them.

those sti wheels and tires sound awesome,
but did you (dr evyl) say you had a set of tarmac II's for sale for 695.00 shipped? if thats what you said thats awesome because tarmac IIs are the top of my list.
im thinking either gold or gunmetal in 17 inch

also i could come pick them up since your only in issaquah.

let me know if im insane, or if you really did say that.

mdnight, ill have to save a bit more for those, but if you still have them when i have the money that will be cool

No, I don't have a set of Tarmac II's for sale... I was saying that there is a deal going on another board to sell them at that price.

I just bought mine a week ago, actually. That's what I paid for them and as far as I know the deal is still going on. $695 shipped including lugs. The wheels weigh about 18.5 to 19 lbs, and look real nice. I'm putting snow tires on mine.

On the same note, you might check out some of the other deals that SubyDude.com has on wheels. They have quite a decent selection all for under $700 shipped with lugnuts.. Prices listed are shipped without lugs, and you need the lugnuts to mount them... they're $45.
