You're coming up here to the PNW when JGTCUSA is going on?! But what are your interests? If you're an outdoors type of guy and have all seasons or winter tires you can always hit up the slopes. Space Needle, Nutcracker is playing now, EMP is kinda cool, Sonic's are cleaning up.....

EMP is the Experience Music Project which is a museum for music history. It's not that great unless you're into music history. The Sonics are Seattle's professional basketball team.

Haven't been in OR in 4 years but Pioneer Square is pretty cool for shopping...also hit up the outlet mall in woodinville (or whatever that town is that has the drag strip) just off of the I-5 you'll see it...it's painted earth tone colors...really good deals!

You headed up the coast highway or the I-5?

If you go up the coast...go to the Aquarium and hit up my favorite place...Lincoln City they have this really cool restaurant that's right on the pier...I forget the name but it's really cool!

Post ***** ^^^ Blake when were you in the Pac NW?

If you ski / snowboard. Mt. Hood or Bachelor are the shizznit. Especially cause WA has no snow right now. Portland is pretty cool. There is a big mall right by the OR/WA border. And yeah, no sales tax.

HAHA! Your favorite place! You must be a tourist. I've lived in Oregon my entire life (19yrs. in Lincoln City)- I worked at thet restaurant you are speaking of last summer, its called Mo's, and their food is C.R.A.P. crap. Cool location, I'll give it that, but it's more like a rancid seafood cafeteria if you ask me. It seems that only the old folks who cant taste anything anymore are the only local 'regulars.'

Sorry to say, I'm not too enthusiastic about my home state. The only things to check out ... trees, hippies, pale-skinned folk, and the morbidly obese.

Wait, you said cool things... sorry

How about public beaches? (rainy and windy, not sunny and warm, however)

You might want to mention which way you are heading and what your idea of 'cool' is... I may actually be able to direct you to something worth your while.

EDIT: just realized that you have already made the trip... hope you enjoyed the great NW
