I did the same thing to my rex a while back and like the way it looks especially in the daytime. it looks like the lights came that way and if you dont like them like that, you can take them off. by the way did you get yellow fog bulbs too? I didn't yet thats why im asking. if you did, what size bulb is it and where did you get them at? thanks looks good man keep up the good work

Stupid fog lights -- look at that beam pattern. What are they supposed to illuminate, someone's ankles??

I added PIAA Ion Crystal lights to mine -- an interesting bulb. They look blue in the center and yellow around the edges, and shine yellow light. A little "ricier" than I expected; I probably won't get the same ones when they burn out.

eclipse0001 - No, i didn't get the yellow bulbs. I almost bought the PIAA Ion Crystal bulbs but I wanted to see how it turned out w/o them 1st...

meilers - I agree, OEM foglights aren't that great. I may eventually upgrade to some better ones.

It isn't the foglamps themselves, but the deep sockets they sit in. They are so far back that the top of the socket blocks all light from going above the bumper line.

Do you know if any of the aftermarket foglights stick out further?

uhmm... that's why they are fog lights; to see in the fog. The problem with using regular headlights in the fog, is that the light bounces back at you off of the water molecules in the fog (because of the wide light pattern). A fog light has a very narrow (height) pattern so that less light bounces back at you.
