2 of my friends are at ESX right now getting a wrx tuned ...for auto-x...hopefully he doesn't get crazy and come back with a completely new turbo and forged internals running 400 horsepower...wait nevermind that would be awesome...

auto=more consistent in drag racing. manual=more fun for everday driving. wish I could have both...ESX is like 10 min from my house, CRAZY power!

I bought an auto for that reason. You can't shift as well as an automatic can (especially a turbo automatic) when you're car is doing 1/4 miles at that time. Could you imagine how precise your shifting would need to be when your car is moving that fast!? You just can't reach that kind of performance with a stick.
