traded in 02 silver for 03 Sonic Yellow
well..Just picked my new 03 Sonic Yellow with 11 miles on it!
Traded in my 02 plat silver with 35K and two dinged up doors, two dings on the roof, and a hood that had a good size tree limb fall on it. I had painted side skirts and clear side markes and had done the headlight mod, so my 02 silver did look good; except for the multiple dings and dents.
I figured I'd pull into a dealership and just check out an 03; especially with lower finance rates. It didn't hurt that they also had two 03 sonic yellows in the lot (every dealer in the area has a couple yellows that they can't move).
After a couple days of hammering out a deal.. I ended up ditching my 02 rex with 35K and driving home a 03 sonic yellow with 11 miles on it AND ZERO down AND my payment is lower than it was!! Can't beat that! oh yeah .. also got Prodrives on it.
anyway ... pretty juiced about it! except it REALLY sucks when you know what the car can do but have to baby it for a couple weeks.
sooo .. if your thinking 'bout trading in and want yellow..you can probable work a good deal...

Anyways the car looks great, I was actually considering doing the same thing. My silver 02 only has 14k on it and is in very good shape. Just curious, what did they give you for your car?

They gave me $17200 for the 02 silver. It had some serious dings: the hood had a limb fall on it; i think they will need to get a new hood. It had a few door dings, all fixable. Plus.. it had a ding on the roof; again..a smaller tree branch; but fixable.
Plus... 35K is kinda high for the miles.
But, they came up on the trade to just balance everything out.
