Tint Questions WRX JAVA BLACK PEARL
Hey guys,
Finally got all of the mechanical things done that I want. (10k later lol) now I'm on to the decor.
I'm looking for a good tint look that won't get me pulled over in ca. I live in Walnut Creek.
My car has black rims and Java Black Pearl paint (the one with the gold 😆
Any suggestions/ people's experience with this kind of thing. My car isn't too loud as I have a high flow catted DP. Has that nice subie rumble though because of my UEL header.
Any tips?
Thanks! 👍😀

5% in the back.
Anything darker than factory in the front is not leagal according to the law.
IMO You can usually get away with 30-35% in the fronts but again see above.
I am 5% in back and 20% in front but have been pulled over twice. I chalk it up to gotta pay to play so I dont correct it and just pay the fine.

I've got 50% front and 15% back. no problems with the police. the place I went said he removes a lot of tint that is 35% in front. he also said cops mainly look for a difference in tint shades comparing back to front

I currently have 35% front, 20% rear and haven't had issues with cops in the past year that I have had the tint. *knock on wood*
Don't know if this will help, but heres a pic.

I had a JBP STI years ago. I had 35% all the way around and it looked amazing. Although my car was very loud, I never drop like a d-bag. Plus I always had my kids roll down their windows and wave to officers just to deter them from dissecting my car too much
