i think egt and boost are the two most important gauges . put the egt after the turbo (although its more acurate before ) and use a good gauge blitz greddy etc.

I think the corndog holster is still #1. I love corndogs.

Get a different probe then. Oil pressure won't tell you squat until it's too late, probably the same with engine temp. If you have a stock cluster you already have an adequate engine temp gague. Get the egt. Conservitive or not!

I lied! Oil pressure is good and will tel you things just not as quickly as the EGT gague. Boost and EGT are the most impotant!

egt is more for proactive response vs oil pressure which mean that the high temps have already set in... think of it like this... to measure your own temperature, would u want to measure the temperature under your tongue or just spit and measure the temperature of that?

What does EGT stand for?

If you don't want the EGT, I would suggest a compass (unless you alreday have one in your mirror). Or better yet. put a fake button or switch there and label it Grenade Launcher!

LoL

I am not in the air force.

Manfred von Richthofen (The Red Baron) was a German Airforce Ace in World War I. He was well know by his red plane. The airforce always gave him the most advanced fighter during the war because he was so good.

My WRX is red. And the way I like to drive is almost like flying....

ScoobySTi07 - I'm at the Academy in Colorado Springs. I graduate in 7 days. Next July I start pilot training.

I guess I'm just anti-EGT. I'm just stubborn like that.

Yeah sorry bout that Red Bar0n meant to aim that question at psychobooe which he was intuitive enough to answer. Red Bar0n I appologize for highjacking your thread but psychobooe no sh*t you're at the Academy well so am I. unfortunately I still have a little less then 1100 days til I graduate.

Oh yeah and my vote is still for the eject button
