for sure, it's actually my chicks car, and yeah, I've been flamed on here for not post-processing my images, I can make anything look good, it's always great when it just looks good ya know. Thanks for the compliments though, I'm sure Suz'll chime in at one point...

nice shots. i was lookin at some of the Exif Data on your pics. i was wondering if you're using the kit lens that comes with the camera or something else? they turned out nice

I started with the Digital Rebel (my first DSLR) and then got the 20D when it came out. The faster shooting (3 vs 5fps) was what I really was after, and the extra control is nice as well. The 30 is a nice camera too - the bigger LCD and a bigger sensor too.
One day I want one of the fancy-pants cameras as well - unless I start my own photography business though I'll have a hard time justifying $7k for the body alone!

as for the MarkII goodness, I like expensive things. I don't get them often, but I will one day get one (=
