Can I ask what the point of supercharger is? Are you trying to increase the psi of the air entering the turbo with the supercharger first? Why not just increase the boost and use the turbo by itself to get the same horsepower. Or is this to configuration just trying to reduce turbo lag?
Thanks
Thanks
WAIT, I'm confused. I thought that you couldn't supercharge a turbo charged engine!? How would this work? Is the supercharger forcing air through the turbo? Would the turbo work right like this? Like would it be able to create the same or more boost than normal?

Superchargers are driven by engine speeds therefore are directly linked to RPM. Lower RPMs =lower boost. The only difference is that power climbs are linear rather than exponential like a turbo. I don't think its worth it as it increases parasitic drag because the supercharger belt uses engine's power whereas a turbo is running off exhausts gases that otherwise would be going straight through the exhaust anyway. Just my opinion.

Compound Charged Sti. 548 Hp Forced Air Technologies Inc.
THIS "COMPOUND CHARGE" NOT "DUAL CHARGE" or "TWIN CHARGE"
is very effective in the anti lag area.
in that it creates 25 psi from 1900 rpm to red line.
AND IT STILL GETS 26 MPG
which makes for an wicked fun car to drive.
THE CAR HAS 548 HP AND IT'S BEST RUN DOWN THE 1320 WAS AN 11:59
(NOTE: THIS TIME WAS AT 3000 FEET ELEVATION
AND WITHOUT BEATING THE CAR UP TOO BAD) IT IS A DAILY DRIVER
look for this car on the cover of turbo mag in the fall
we did the shoot about a month ago.

people build stuff like that to get their shop into a magazine or SEMA or whatever.
But props, way to make it work, I'm sure nobody else will be doing anything like that any time soon.
