You do relize that the redesigned WRX/STi came out in Japan and Europe in 2001 and there was a "bugeye" STi. It's just in America we got the car in 2002 and didn't get the STi till after the redesign. They had larger hood scoops but they weren't much taller more in the width as you can see.
