Hey guys.

Project car is a 2000 Impreza RS I bought from a guy in Indiana (drove 13 hours there to get it, load it on a trailer and 13 hours back to Nebraska!!!)
The guys was going to make it an all out drag car, but couldn't afford it so he just got rid of it and I got a a hell of a deal I think. He gutted and stripped the car of pretty much everything, So I've got my work cut out for me. I'm going to be using it as a daily driver with some track days and ofcourse of-roading!

The engine in it is a JDM EJ20H from a B5 legacy. Engine management is a Haltech E6X stand alone.

So here's what needs to happen to get it going:
*The gas tank needs to be reinstalled. Wow what a PITA..... if anyone has tips on that let me know.

*Needs a turbo. I'm not quite sure what to put on. I was thinking a VF22 or a 16g if I could find one cheap.

*Haltech needs to be wired in. Oh my.....wires wires wires....

*I need to figure out all the vacuum lines and stuff under the hood. there are lines all over hell that I dont reallly know where they go. on the back side of the engine there are some lines that I think are the feed and return for the turbo but not sure.

*everything else that's going on is pretty easy, like the exhaust, FMIC and piping, intake, reinstall interior.... all that is lined up and ready to go.

little update. I finally sucked it up and threw the gas tank in....wow.... I had to drop the read diff, axles, sway bars, crossmember and driveshaft down. after I got everything out, it went in pretty smooth. Just need to hook up the filler neck and charcoal canister back there.
After that's done it's time to wire the haltech and get a turbo.

 

DAMN! good luck man. that alot of work.

 

yeah.... more than the actual price of a functional used car.

unless you put STI motor in it....
