So we have been scratching around for a while trying to work out which car to make into a dedicated track car for using in the California Endurance race series (various NASA and SCCA events) when we had the ideal car all along!



Then as we rumaged through the back looking for spares and so on we realized we had a couple of brand new FXT engines that we needed to adapt to work with the single cam pickup sensor, what better way to test it than to throw it into the L?



We thought long and hard about what to do as far as engine management and finally decided that OEM is hard to beat when looking for longievity for endurance racing thus leading us to wire in a OEM JDM WRX ecu (we want to use AVCS)



We're shooting to get the motor in by the first week of the New Year and will keep you all posted as to the out come.

Car comes back from the fabricator next week, with new cage and a huge fuel cell in her! (I have never seen such a big fuel cell ever)

Short block is built with heads to follow, we have a 6sp transmission and plenty more to install in the next few weeks.

I'll snap pics of the cage and cell install when we collect the car next week.
