This build has caught my attention. I'm interested to see how these heads do. Cams are a great move and really open up a lot of potential but you don't see it without the big turbo and 100 octane+.

Good luck with it.

I have a hunch you'll be let down by the numbers you see with the 18g and regular gas tune. But happy when you see it with a better turbo and 100 octane.

You still haven't told us what EM you are going to be using and which tuner you'll be using for this very unique build...that info will be make or break for the setup, ask ipozestu (jeff).

Looks nice, now get rid of the cheapo band straps. Go and get the Thermo-Tec metal straps, they will not back out on you. I have them on my header and they are still as snug as the first day I put it on the header

Dude, you keep dodging the transmission question which of course means your going to be using a stock, or modified 5speed? Dude, are you crazy?

No offense intended, just worried how you're going put that power down to the wheels.

I've seen people rake through their stock 5 speeds with like 20hp increase, hell, even stock hp, let alone what you're going to be cranking.

If I missed something about you doing a transmission upgrade, sorry and disregard this post. You can get a 6speed off a wrecked STi for pretty cheap (well, cheap for a 6speed and compared to how much they used to cost). Put on a 6speed and all you have to worry about is not blowing the engine! JK, its going to be a nice build, really been looking forward to this finishing. Sucks that you have the hassle of dealing with builders in Japan, those guys lag on an astronomic scale.

Glen brings up a very valid point, choosing a tuner/engine management will make or break this build... Go with what has been proven on a large scale of success, like (just throwing out a name) Mike from GST, and don't trust tuners like I-Speed/Crawford who have a success rate of an impotent transsexual hooker in a brothel.

Seriously though, thats your key step there.

The truth is that Mike(GST) or Ed(EQ Tuning) will do a great job...Ecutek isn't a good option if you need to switch maps from 91 to c16 or 100 octane...

Running a 91 map for daily driving then switching to 100 for power and track days would make your build sweet as milk but you'll need an AP tuner. Sticking to a 1 map ecutek tune would not be great for you.

With your cams and especially when you go for a GT-35 turbo you will need to switch maps to 100 octane, that will unleash your beast, so an AP is ideal, but if your on a budget then the EQ tune without needing an AP is great value for money, and Ed has 100% customer satisfaction..that means a lot more than some dyno chart. On the same vein Mike at GST is a race winning pro who will produce great power from a very safe tune

You've got a big choice ahead of you regarding EM. Your build is sweet but the tune will make or break it.

Thank your lucky stars that your in the bay area where the BEST tuners in america happen to run a business.

You have still not replied as to which EM you are considering.....
