Sounds like you've got the setup down, just need the car to execute. Bugeye ftw! The color scheme is interesting, as long as its pulled off in a decent manner the "hating" should be at a minimum. Good luck with the build! I'd also suggest taking the new car to a local shop to be looked at before you do power mods, make sure the engine is healthy enough to be able to take the mods and not have troubles down the road.

I can do leakdown pressure check myself... Also I fully intend to blow up the usdm eventually. As soon as this one is built I am going to start a new fund "jdm ej207 fund". So when (not if) it blows up I'll be ready to drop the right engine in it. I am fully prepared to take the time to "bar" it as well.

I never plan to get rid of it. So the upgrading is never gonna stop

Holy sh*t man LOL. You weren't kidding when you said you had your project planned out. Good stuff though, I hope you can find a bugeye soon so you can get this project started. Good luck!

project bugeye dead!!!

well... i have decided against the project bugeye. Many would say i'm taking the easy way out, but, it makes the most sense to me now.

I remember 2001, it was before any usdm subaru wrx's existed, my dream car was a e39 M5, now.... i can afford one. so after spending a few months looking for the right bugeye i had a realization.... the good condition bugeye is a unicorn, almost impossible to find and they are just to expensive for what they are. why pay 9k for a car that will need 6k of parts just to hope to keep up with the M5. the M5 believe it or not is much more cost effective.

also i do not need awd for the mountains anymore (a major factor in this decision)

I still love subaru's, tuner cars, jdm, all that stuff. Got nothing but respect for someone who put in the work to make thier car scream. if i see a tuned car keepin up wit the M5, a tip of the hat shall be given because it will truly be deserved. for me sadly though.... it is time to move on to a car that will require no time from me to be fun.

I test drove the M5 today and have fallen in love with it. the rumble... Oh jeehabba the rumble son!!!! i'm sure plenty of ya have faster subie's ( but that was 10k and alot of tlc later)

part out thread listing tomorrow, lots of goodies, some for dirt cheap

much love i-club, keep on spoolin'!!!
