I have to ask opinions on what is the strongest subaru engine in existence? over @ NASIOC, noone has replied. I feel I know the answer, but I want to see others opinions as well.(before I answer)

I think it's the NA 2.2 as well. To a fault. I have one and i am waiting until it dies so I can do an EJ20 swap... I'll be waiting a long time. HA.

I will say-EJ22T, because it has a closed deck, sand-cast, or lost foam casting method(all subie blocks now are die-cast)forged crank/rods, piston oil squirters, larger modified coolant passages, modified main bearings, stronger piston rings, longer wrist pins, and can handle close to 30 psi of boost reliably, oh, yeah it's a 2.2 also, so it's "bulletproof" like the other 2.2's The only problem with these engines, is like any other subie engine.....they all leak oil. Thanks!
