New member - not-so-great pics
Hello, all. I just registered here, b/c on Friday of last week, I picked up my 06 STI with 9 whole miles on it. I thought I'd introduce myself and post a few crummy pics of the garage. The weather hasn't been great this week, so all the cars are filthy . . . hopefully this weekend it will be nice, so I can get some proper pics.

The TT is my wife's - nimbus grey with baseball interior. The srt4 is our roommate's. After I returned my VW GTI 1.8T in November, I picked up the ae86 for $1000 to drive around until I decided what I wanted to get next. The contestants were the STI, an evo IX, an 05 elise, and the new GTI. Naturally, the STI won, and I feel I made the right decision. I've loved every second of having the STI. 180 miles and counting.
I'm pretty much planning on leaving the STI stock, however. I mainly bought it so that I could have a daily driver and start working on the 86. As it stands now, I'm planning to swap a sr20det into it.

BTW, can't wait till you complete your "SR86". Post pics when you're done with it!

I plan on documenting the engine swap, so I'll definitely post periodic updates.
Thanks, everyone. I actually did wash it this weekend, but got too busy, and never took any pics. Not that any of you would really care to see a bone stock STI doing very little, but I'll probably post some anyway, after I take a few.
Hah, definitely the srt4. The TT is a stock 180 fwd, and even if it were chipped, I doubt it could beat the srt. The srt4 is really really fast by any comparison. He has suspension mods, but a basically stock powertrain, and it never ceases to amaze me how fast it is. Previous to these cars, I had a 2002 VW GTI 1.8T with a handful of mods including a chip and TBE, and it was pretty much a toss up between the stock srt and my vw. I believe the gti was making around 210hp/230tq to the wheels at the time (can't find the dyno sheet).
The TT is quick, though, but it's also pretty and a convertible, so it's all-around a great little car. The baseball interior is to die for! Possibly, my favorite production car interior ever made.
