If you want comfort with a subtle drop (1" front and .5" rear) go with the Swift Springs or the Perrin Springs, which I believe are about the same. You may just want something that will maintain a considerable amount of your stock strut life and give you a little better handling and lose the nasty stock ride height.

However, if you are a guy who wants handling and a nice *** drop go with the Prodrive, Cobb, or Tein Springs, which give you about a 2" drop up front and a 1-1.5" drop in the rear. This may blow your stock struts after a while... probably well after 20k, but they will eventually.

I bought the Swift's for my car because GST convinced me that the Prodrive Springs would blow my stock struts, however now 6 months later my Swift's are way too moderate and I will be buying the Prodrive, Cobb, or Tein Springs.

Just sit down and think about what you want

*also keep your stock springs in case you do blow your struts with after market springs so you can put them back on and go to the dealer lol

swifts or perrins will most likely not blow your stock struts right? cause I would rather not go through that hassel.. I would like ot get a decent drop on my car, will the cobbs blow out the struts cause thats really the look that I am altemately going for.

these ones are real BBS'; They are RC's off of a 03 VW GLI. I only paid $900 for them. Cruise some VW forums and you're likley to find some up for sale PM me of you want some forums to check out.

I would go ahead and get the Cobb Springs, because you are going to want to eventually replace your struts with aftermarket ones or coilovers... If I could do it over I would have done it right the first time, don't get the Swift's/Perrin's if you don't like the moderate drop, get the one's you like

They won't blow your struts for atleast a few years unless you drive as much as I do and constantly put them to work lol

i just ordered my prodrives after searching forum after forum..

the prodrives are made by eibach yet have stiffer spring rates.. the tanabe were my second choice but they just seem too stiff and dont give me the drop i am looking for.

the eibach prokit seemed to me to have too soft of rates where the prodrives were in between the tanabe and eibach rates.

i have the same lip in the front! kKARNLAX02 Thanks for the reassurance i was stressing there are so many options

yes exactly like that, that is the look I am going for... what would be a good forum to find these on? 900 bucks is more than a fair price. and if that is your car it looks freakin sick man.
