Car Info: 97' Dodge Cummins and an RSTI thingie
My RSTI build
So I've wanted to build a RSTI since I had my L wagon back 4 or 5 years ago. I had an 04 STI which was a helluva lot of fun. I came upon a full 04 sti drivetrain for a great price and I ended up selling my STI and buying a 98 RS coup with a blown head gasket. This RS car was the village bicycle, it's been through then hands of atleast 3 other members of i-club.
I didn't have a garage so I built a carport with stone pavers and bought a canvas carport tent and started the swap this last summer.
I didn't know how many miles were on the motor, or if it had any problems, so I sent the motor off to FW Motorsports for a motor build while I did the drivetrain swap. Good thing I had some good friends to help me along the way with this project!
The drivetrain swap is all done, the harness was merged by I-Wire (who's freaking awesome)
Here's a break down of the mods so far:
Drivetrain: (* means going on after breakin)
2004 EJ257 cast iron sleeved block
Weisco Pistons
Manley Rods
ACL bearings
Supertech +1mm valves
Brian Crower stage 3 cams
Upgraded springs and retainers
Kevlar timing belt
STI larger 11mm oil pump
Invidia down pipe
Greddy Ti competition catback
GT SPEC headers*
GT SPEC up pipe*
GrimmSpeed EBC*
GrimmSpeed AOS
VF39 and STI injectors (for now)
ACT 6 puck sprung clutch
USDM 6MT with DCCD, R180 LSD
Stainless steel clutch line
Stainless steel power steering lines
Stainless steel brake lines
Wilwood brakes
STI BBS with direzza starspecs
Suspension:
Stance GR+ coilovers
Hotchkis front and rear adjustable sway bars
JDM STI control arms
Whiteline ALK
Whiteline adjustable lateral links
Whiteline subframe lock bolts
Cusco adjustable front strut brace
Cusco rear strut tower brace
Cusco rear brace and diffuser
Interior:
04 STI cluster with sweep
Prosport gauges
JDM V7 seats
JDM V5 steering wheel
JDM aluminum "Impreza" door sils
Exerior:
JDM STI Aluminum Hood
JDM V4 bumper
JDM V4 grill

So here it sits with the drivetrain swap done, waiting for its new motor!
