Hey guys.. Thx ..

I have alot planned out for this little guy. I just installed the tein coilovers. adding swaybars and STi rear links.

I have a VF39 going on and looking for a STi top mount. The rims dont look bad for OEM painted black.....lol I was going to powder coat them soon. I am picking up some 18x8 g games in gun metal. I have the carbon front lip and carbon side skirts to match the apr defuser. After that I think I am done for a while.

Who knows.. Maybe something else down the road..

I wouldn't suggest upgrading to 18s unless you find out what the weight of your chosen wheels are first. You don't want to add unsprung weight. Even a few lbs of unsprung weight can make a significant impact on performance. A buddy of mine has an '05 STi and he upgraded to 18s that weighed around 5-7 lbs more than his stock BBS wheels. He took his car to the track and ran a 13.70 1/4 mile. He decided to revert back to his stock BBS wheels, and the next time he hit the track he ran a 13.30 and picked up over 2 mph. He also said that he did notice a significant increase in cornering and braking.

Just my $0.02. Besides, I think it's a hot looking car as is. Why throw money into things that don't make you go faster or enhance performance elsewhere?

Yeah I know what you are saying. I have carbon fiber motorcycle wheels and ceramic brake rotors.
I was looking at getting the stockers widen a little.

The
are light weight.
Unsprung weight is why I have kept the 4 pots and not gone to the heavier brembos. I'm not a drag racer I'm a roadie! And I work in tires so I have that going. I can make up weight by running a lighter weight tire!

I like what you did with the stock 17s. They look really good. I'd consider picking up some of these and powdercoating them black. Do the 06 WRX 17" stockers fit the 05 WRX?

Good point. Share the knowledge and give me some suggestions for some nice aftermarket wheels that weigh in at around what the stockers do.

very nice 06STI. Which TEIN coilovers do you have and how do you like them? I can't decide between the Basics or the Flex. How's the ride at that height? Some feedback on whichever you have is appreciated. Thanks.
