My new ride

Well, after some tranny problems, and needing a larger car, I traded my '02 Blaze Yellow WRX with the usual mods (pictured below) for a Saturn Vue Redline. That's right, a Saturn SUV. It has the J35 Honda motor and scoots to 60 in the upper six seconds and through the 1/4 in 15.0-15.2. She'll also pull .83 on a skidpad. Not too bad; only about .02 to .03 off a stock WRX. Not a Suby, but I'm a member, and it's my ride.

are those specs for an automatic? if so thats pretty impressive, but many will argue its still a saturn. either way, it looks like a nice car.

Not a bad looking ride for an SUV. Nice color.
Hell, if I was looking for something along those lines, the looks would definately interest me.

Well it's 1/3 a Honda and being a Saturn isn't THAT BAD.

Hey, he gets the plastic body so he doesn't have to worry about dents.

I like it personally.

Yeah, the specs are for the auto FWD (a stick isn't offered on the 3.5L). Suprisingly enough, the AWD model is signifigantly slower, posting mid 7s 0-60. Thanks for some of the compliments guys. Believe me, I NEVER thought I'd own a Saturn, but this car quickly changed my mind. This car has changed the mind of everyone I know that has ridden in it.

Hey de philipino guy, you realize how many people make fun of Subarus as well right? You realize MANY people think that only barefoot hippie lesbians would be crazy enough to buy a Subaru. Or that WRXs are only for those without enough money to buy an M3. We know better though right? So this is a Saturn, so what? It's a damn nice car that will outperform just about all of its competition. Eh, whatever.

also true. lots of people think subaru caters to the homosexual crowd. particularly lesbians.

yeah the AWD is probably slower because of the drivetrain loss? that's my guess anyways.

I think I would have skipped the redline and just gone for the regular v6. Same hp and doesnt have the ugly front end. Just me though. It does run pretty good and is one of the best small SUV's I have seen and driven.

I actually agree with you. The reason(s) I went with the RL over the standard model are the lowered/stiffened suspension, the quicker steering ratio (it steers more more quickly than the stock model) and the suede/leather interior with larger side bolsters which can't be odered on anything but the RL.
