actually i gained trunk space from what i had before, and i took out my spare because I am mounting the amp, capacitor, and fuse boxes in the bottom of the trunk.

Actually it is not at all. The subs are in a regular size box with just a flat piece of wood in front to make it look clean. Some more pics:

um, can please explain to me how you gained more trunk space please?
nonetheless i really like the set-up. in my sti i have this "free-moving" sub. . . .notice i didn't say "free-air" . . . lol. . . my sub slides all over the place.

I meant I gained more trunk space with this setup as opposed to the other setup I had. I just had a regular kicker box sitting freely in my trunk which actually left me with hardly any room and I had the same problem as you did with it flying back and fourth which caused me to break two rca cords from them being yanked out of my sub. I am very happy with this setup, it won't go anywhere.

Yeah I had it done at Marina Auto Stereo, they do some sick work.
