Traction is a bit of an issue if you are coming from the WRX, but you get use to it. The motor is full of torque at a very low rev range that it just tries to break away. Apparently, most owners notice that after an ecu flash, this is dealt with. No problems with torque steer though.

I installed an intake on the car and it did make it more controllable and you the blow-off sound now The 07's now have launch control vs. the 06's.

here any negatives on maintenance and what not? I know with older audi's and what not it's always been electrical and what not. My buddies 01 had a bunch of issues.

I nearly bought an a4 when I got my wrx but the dealership guy was a ***** so I went to the other side of the lot..subaru.

My girl drives a golf and we've been thinking of dumping both cars and getting something new for her and something old for me...one of several ideas we have going around.

If I were a designer at Audi... I would drop the old 250hp 2.7T biturbo from the S4/A6 into one of these and give it quattro. That would really give the WRX wagon a run for its money

Here are the types of problems some owners are experiencing, but I still would not get rid of it. I like it that much. If you were to look at this car I know you know that the GTI 4 door is all but the same car. Save about 8-10K there. Insurance is higher though. My wife originally wanted a 3 series, but I thought they were overpriced compared to this car. BMW = lots of options to add.
