I actually put a layer of Poorboy's EX on my car, even though I knew it was going to rain by the time I would be finished. BTW, the Poorboy's EX is some GREAT stuff. I'm gonna write this stuff up in a thread soon. More info at www.poorboysworld.com .Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm in the Philly area, and I would love to help out anyone who is serious about detailing around here.

Just put a coat of Poorboy's EX sealant on the paint...
reflections baby!

I think that it passes the beading water test:

I'm really thrilled about this stuff. It's reflective, like a good sealant, but it lets the true color of the paint shine through, like a carnauba. The blue tint of the car really comes out with this stuff. I can't wait to see it get better with a few more coats

Thanks guys!
Dragun, I didn't have any rock chips on my hood... I really don't know why I don't have a problem with it, but other people really do.
I have a theory that since my paint is so slick, rocks don't "grab" onto the paint when they run by it and only leave scratches and such, but I can't prove it.
It's definitely not because I don't go fast

I can only add to the very well deserved praise! I am a bit new to detailing, but I am slowly learning. I do enjoy keeping my car looking as good as possible and your example and information will only help.
In the area of detailing, do you do anything with the undercarriage? I'm painting my calipers right now, as well as the non-braking surfaces of the rotors. I've dis-assembled everything so I can do a top job, and decided to clean and paint some of the other components. I have planned all sorts of suspension and brake upgrades for the future, but right now, I just want to make all the stock stuff look its best. I'm curious what you think/do? Since I ride my bicycle to work year round, I don't have to subject my baby to harsh, salty roads!
Again, super car and thank you for all the sharing!
P.S. I've no idea what the 56K reference in the thread title is...
