My baby
Here's a pic of my baby. She's a 97 Legacy outback. No real mods or anything. Just new fog lights, green cobra eyes, and 20" carbon fiber doubled bladed windshield wipers LoL. I know, kind of ricey, but still nice. Thinking about getting a rear spoiler too. What ya'll think? Any suggestions? Feel free to post your car pics here too

You got a nice car there, it has winter ability, seats 7 and is pleasent inside. It's a station wagon, not a coochie mobile nor a racer of any kind. I strongly bellieve in using things in a way that they were made to be used. I would keep away from appearance mods but that's just my 2 cents.

Thanks and yeah, I wouldn't really do any appearance mods other than a spoiler (I still want her to look classy!) . What do u think about getting one of those put on? Otherwise, I'm just trying to figure out what I can get done for performance. Maybe up the hp a little. But then again, who needs mods when I'm all stock and still murdered my bf's old 2.3 Mustang in a race :0) LoL

Family truckster
I grew up in subarus. I even owned one like yours until I got my WRX (still a wgn) My favorite thing to do in mine was to load up the snowbaord a sleeping bag pillow and a 12 pack then head to the backcountry of (Lake Tahoe) for powder shots. I used to call her the family truckster.
Here's what you do: 18 inch bling bling, racing decals EVERYWHERE, Autozone NHRA style spoiler, and limo tints all the way around. You're sure to gain all kinds of performance, at the least it'll be a 10 sec car just like Fast and the Furious. Oh yeah, get racing seats too.
J/k of course :P
Look into a new exhaust system though it you want to boost performance a little, although many people hate the constant noise inside the cabin. Just do some minor things like a new air filter and it'll feel like new.

haha yeah thats all a lot of people think they need nowadays. Some stickers, a nice paint job, some rims, and they somehow become fast. Gotta love what the movies does to people. LoL. Anyways, I want to figure out how to get rid of my "govenor" (sp?) because my top speed before the fuel line is cut is 112. after that, then I'll start looking into exhausts...
The exhaust mod is the way to go. Not only do you get the added performance, but your gas mileage should get better, too. Nice, eh! You could go to a muffler shop and have an exhaust custom made, cheaper and probably quieter than other aftermarket stuff (do they have aftermarket exhausts for your car?).
Nice wagon, though. Clean

Mod it up. It's your car, do what you want. The only opinion that matters is your own. It's an Outback, so it would be easy to do a few tasteful modifications and not look like a boy-racer.
BTW, spomotorsports.com has a SYMS rear wing for the Legacy on close out for $399. It's a bit big, but looks cool.

that syms wing is very stylish, love the legacys(gotta convince my girl to get a new legacy for her next car)
the proecm chip will get rid of the governer as will an apexi safc, a little tricky to install the safc though if all its gonna be used for is a speed limit remover. a nice exhaust will free up a bit of power, a high flow cat like random tech will free up the most, headers and a catback will be good too, although if your not into loud, i wouldnt do all three, or even headers and a cat-back. some lightweight pulleys add a bit too, faster revving, and a little power
good luck, nice car
