First order of busness was getting something on the under body. I knew this car was going to see alot of garage time and might rot more from the mosture comming off the concreet. so I took the time to break out a wire wheel and grinder to remove all the loose rust and under body coating then I painted it with por-15

now, what brings this all up....
I decided to get serrious about working on it.
I got some sheet metal sections a while ago and started planning how I was going to cut out the rotted sections of my car and weld these in.... I came to the decision that I would have to go thru lots of work to patch my pannes... so I decided to just go for it and replace the whole section...
so here are pics of the rotted pannel, and after I cut it out.

one of those projects that you have so much in mind for it that you serriously doubt that it will ever be done.
I'm just enjoying putting money into it for now. This is the first restoration project like this I have ever attempted.

it's kinda odd. I will bo ok if I never finish this car, just as long as I keep working on it and keep learning.
Before I started working on this car I had never picked up a welder or ever believed that I could be doing body work on this scale. but I am taking my time and learning it all.
Today I trimmed the replacement pannel and tomarrow i should be fin-tuning the fit and tacking it into place
