yea stock turbo and block have never cut it in my book. it'll be time to step up once I get this one rolling.

 

visited the body shop and took a few pics, they say it should be ready for paint in about 3 weeks:

I had some problems getting the camshaft and main caps off but nothing a mallet couldn't take care of. my excited to get this project going again its starting to pick up pace so things are going good right now.

haha no its just the primer, final paint is going on this weekend and ill be bringing her home next week.

 

Did they just feel up that rear section with bondo???

 

they wouldn't be getting my business if they did. they actually pulled the frame and pounded it back as close as possible, then filled in with Bondo to keep it straight. I specifically asked them to keep the bondo as thin as possible and they did a wonderful job at doing so.

we found some more rust spots as well so they will be finishing putting on new metal in those places and should be done by next Saturday.

 

I love those old Japanese cars. My fave - Mazda 929 Hardtop.
