I test fitted the bumpers last week, not looking too good

I also had to drill ou two bolts that were supposed to hold the driver-side front fender. the heads seem like they were cut off and the fender was only zip-tied on! but that got taken care of so its back to getting the bumpers realigned.

seems like i have to keep on going at it with the mallet. My goal is to get is prepped for paint by late may/earlyjune. Finals are in two weeks so after that all my time is going into this bad boy.

I know I haven't really been keeping track of the car, school/work and just being lazy has really slowed the progress on this unfortunetely. but now im motivated again so here's another update:

1. New RPM gauge is in, still need to get the gas gauge working though

2. carb is running like sh*t so had to purchase a rebuild kit which should arrive next monday.

3. need to find rubber weather trim and after that its going into the body shop for some serious TLC!

4. still trying to find a 3tc shortblock so if anyone knows any toyota guys looking to sell one PLEASE let me know

well that pretty much all for know, the actual painting won't be ready for another month or two so ill have to make a decision pretty soon on what color to go with. guys feel free to express your opinions on what color is good, i need as much brainstorming as possible

ill post some more recent pics later too.

probably not, I like the nestalgic look the bumpers give. that plus it probably won't be legal to drive without the bumpers, as i do plan on driving this car daily.

a good friend of mine has his mango done up like this. i think a dark factory blue would look awsome on this car. the oragnes are more for the 510 guys i think.

well guys got some great news! the Carina's going into the bodyshop on wednesday and Finally get a fresh, brand spankin new paint job!! can't wait to see the finished product.

While I really wanted to do the paint myself, I really did not have the time, or experience to do the body/prep work. all good though I'll definately be more hands on with the motor, suspension and everything else.
