JDMcarBoy's Hawkeye Conversion
hey wats up i-club
i
after being in the honda scene i decided to jump into the subie scene and buy a hawkeye but didn't have the proper funds for it because i was a full time student.
after finding a good deal on a 04 wrx in san jose i decided to jump on it.
i always envied the hawkeyes and after a year of owning my car i wanted to change the way it looked not because i was bored but because i loved the way 06-07 looked.
after saving enough money and working my a** off i finally pulled the trigger and the project had started in late feb.
stripped down the car.
i then sourced some fenders on craigslist and the seller happened to be a homie. lol
got them painted and put em on.
finding a decent bumper was the hardest part. all of them were either too expensive or in bad condition so i just picked one up from maita brand new.
testing the light on it.
after getting it painted.
the hardest part of this install would happen to be the upper radiator support. getting the old one off was easy. the new one was a biatch.
new one sitting.
after installing it i figured since the car was already torn apart might as well clean the engine bay
clean bay and new upper radiator support
and finally testing my homies old lights on
after being lazy and getting my paycheck it was time for new headlights
and the wiring harness. that was also a pain in the rear.
now i patiently wait for a grill and a new hood.
i also found out that my old oil pickup is cracked and this is really gonna delay the project. lol but its 75% done and only minor work is needed.
anybody wanna sell aspen white grill?!?!!?? haha
