Arrow Installed the Spec C roof vent... Old and NEW pics! UPDATED

Installed the spec c roof vent two days ago... Have been detailing the car (clay bar, polishing..etc) so right now it's in the garage because it's POURING outside and my car will NOT get wet after all this time I put into it...haha

Had a little help with my dad (see picture that he did...lol I got him to do the shocker!)

Just a couple pics of the process during and some crappy pics after right now..

Will take some outside pictures tomorrow when it's sunny.

I had my dad do the shocker in front of the hole...LOL

Sheets and bag to prevent metal going ALL inside the cabin...

Hardest part of the entire project was getting the damn headliner back up and into place... I need to clean all the finger prints from the headliner..
Cutting was CAKE... trimming the headliner was a *****... all in all I love it!
I want to get the interior piece of the spec c trim in CF as my entire center console, vent rings and speedo cover are all in CF..

I'd say 6 hours..

I ran into problems.. the BIGGEST being that JapanParts forgot to send me TWO crucial bolts for this thing... So we spent an hour at the hardware store looking for a specific size thread and bolt size..
Cutting only took me 15 minutes with my dad's jigsaw...
Took pictures during the way..

3 hours to install the headliner.. That is the biggest piece of crap and it was such a pain in the butt getting it back up there and the pillars..etc
ARG

Worth it though!

I thought cutting the headliner was easy. I used an exacto knife. Cut was clean and smooth. You were right about the headliner. PITA! I aslo did not recieve two screws from japanparts. were the screws for the latch?

Thank fully no, they were the damn two bolts that actualy mount it to the front of the roof... My dad and I just went to ACE and bought two bolts and washers... we took the metal bracket in and was trying EVERY screw...lol!
