Well...hmmm... There is a new area being buil near my neaighborhood in San Diego and there is a fresh new road that has been beging to be driven hard on since there are no stops or lights or cops on it yet. It is windy and it also has a nice long staright. Fun times. the windy part was always fun especially when I got my swaybars and all the junk to go along with it.

One night I was driving through the area and decided to take the hard right turn pretty fast even though there was a bunch of dirt and crap on the road that day from trucks and construction. I didn't adjust for the change in conditions and ended up braking way too late into the turn and started sliding to the left. I tried to correct but again, I didn't account for the dirt and gave it too much power out of the turn and over corrected. Now i'm fish-tailing. Still trying to save the car, I try to gain control but then I committed the stupidest of all errors, I pressed the brakes. That caused my rear end to whip all the way around till I was pointed the other way and I still kept slidind. I ended up sliding up a pretty tall curb and thats where the wheel snapped off of the axle hub and the casting stapped along with a couple arms and the lower arm twisted. I came to a stop sideways at about a 60 degree angle, ever so close to rolling, and wanted to 'froad out of there but then I decided to check on my wheel.

Then I was bummed, I saw that my sway bar and the link where now sitting inside the rim whic was facing down yet still nicely attached to the ramaining arms. Luckily no one was injured and there was no oncoming traffic at that time. The fun part came when I had to watch the AAA dousche bag drag my car out of the cliff face and whipped it around to drag up the bed. Then when it came time for him to take it off the bed and it would roll, he kind of tossed it off with gentle up and down flicks of the bed.

Now, I have a feeling I may need to replace my swaybar and links but I am not sure.

Note: I am a stupid idiot for having done that and can't say that it was worth it, I could have really hurt someone or damaged more junk. I feel lucky to have walked away from that.

sad story, buh the most important thing about what happened is to learn from it righT? when attempting a hard turn like that where u are power sliding, or some what of a inertia drift. never press on the breaks. your very lucky one side of your wheels didn't go up a dirt mount or something and flip your sti >< well good luck on the repairs and just remember, sti's are fun .. buh dangerous too

Unfortunqately it is not an STi only the rims. I wish I had an STI. And yeah... I was sooo close to flipping it that when I stopped, I was honestly mentally ready to be upside down.
