That nice. I'd take the heads and the ECU in a heart beat. I hope that 10K price tag has that ECU and a wiring harness. Otherwise that will add like 2k easy.

But the USDM STI shortblock is the way to go right now. Dollar for dollar at least. A EJ22 legacy closed deck would be nice, but pricey.

i was wondering though. you think it would be easier to just sleeve the stock WRX block, making it capable of handling easily 400+ hp. it's much cheaper and you could use the extra dollars to beef up the valvetrain.

Have you ever seen the Jun 2.5 motor in their GC8? They made the 2.5 a semi closed deck and are getting about 570 hp. Wish I could get a 2.5 block over here. I'm sure you could do the same to the 2.2 block.

actually, you could source one from the vendors on this forum. i'm not too sure which vendors are selling it, but they do have a built 2.5L USDM short block. i think it was either i-speedusa.com, or axispowerracing.com as well as other some other vendors. i'll try to look see what i come up with.
