Well, got my headlights painted as well as my wheels. I also got my Eibach springs on and installed a XM radio receiver and a Infinity Basslink. Also a Autometer cluster bezel and VDO gauges. Pics below, more on my website...

how do you like the infinity bass link? that's what i have in mine and i love it and i've seen a few impreza owners that buy that one. I was also wondering, does having it there not allow you to get your jack out if you ever get a flat tire? Did you install it or have someone install it? I had someone install it and that was the only place they could put it, which sucks. thanks. great looking car I'll bet you have fun with that bad boy.

i am very pleased with the basslink, its just the right amt of sound for me...
i installed it. i wanted to put it on the passenger side but there wasn't enough room to mount it without blocking the access panel for the spare tire. i left enough room behind the unit so that i can snake my arm back there and remove the jack if needed...

How do you like the vdo gauges? I'm trying to decide between the vdo and defi d-gauge... in the autometer bezel... I'm getting oil pressure and boost for sure, but vdo offers a lot of variations of both of those... I'm wondering if those gauges offer the right ranges of measure for the rex? What type of tubing kit did you pick up? kevlar, copper, nylon, braided ss?

i really like the VDO gauges. i've had no problem with my boost gauge and its teh 2nd one i've purchased from them...
i used the plastic tubing kit from VDO for the boost gauge. the oil press is electronic so no tubing into the cabin of the car.

What color did you paint your wheels? Is that gunnmetal or bronze? Did you paint them with the tires on or off? I did the light mod too. Looks so sweet for such little cash.

Dood your rims look sick painted! Stock rims are nice cause # 1 they come with the car, have a cool split spoke pattern and are light. Just a couple of questions on the painting. What paint did you use? How did you prep the rims? And, did you use some type of clear coating when you were done painting them? I need to paint mine gold to match the rally blue. Thanks for the tips.

Sounds like an echo in here....lol........
I know there is more than one way to skin a cat and I've seen the scoobymods.com FAQ, just wondering if you did yours differently. And are they gunmetal or bronze................................. gunmetal or bronze.............?

wheels were painted with duplicolor metallic gunmetal paint. its part of a series of paints they sell marketed specifically for wheels. i used scotchbrite 3M pads from home depot to lightly scuff/clean the wheels. then i wiped them down with paint thinner to get them clean. i then taped off the lip and weights of the wheel, then taped the tires. i did multiple light coats and only needed 1 can of color to do all 4 wheels. after letting the final coat dry about 30min-hr, i removed the tape on the lip of the rim. i then clear-coated it all. i let the paint cure/dry for 24hr before putting them back on the car.
