Well, here's an update. Insurance took a look at the car yesterday. The estimated damage was $16,000+, and that does not include the cost of a new engine (engine block cracked). Insurance is giving me enough money to get a new STI. Thanks for the support. Here's a few pictures of the car as it sits in the tow yard.

ouch sorry to hear that man, i have an aspen white 04 STi as well and I would be pissed if that happened to me. main thing is that you and your brother were able to walk away with only some sore muscles. good luck on the new STi and keep us updated when it gets in your driveway.

Dude. They wouldn't let you take the wheels? hood scoop? side skirts? left-over engine parts? etc? I woulda taken out the full interior. the body mods (even the rims) and everything else.

Sorry to hear about that. but at least you walked away. Congrats on the new car though.

im pretty sure if you dont buy the car from insurance you cant touch anything on the car, UNLESS its NOT bolted to the chassis. I could be lying though, just what i heard
