Custom short ram intake heat shield (clears Process West FMIC piping)

Intake manifold temperatures improved drastically:
95-99F @ 40+ mph | 109-116F @ <40 mph / img_0613
Intake Manifold Temperature: -[12-15]F cooler at speeds >=40mph | -[35-40]F cooler at speeds <40mph(including idle)
Temperatures measured w/ Greddy Informeter and are compared to short ram w/o heat shield.
Outside temperature according to STI cluster was 89F.
I'm also using the GP Moto intake snorkus delete elbow to help direct more air to the intake.

Click here for photos of the whole process

I know people say a cold air intake is best, but there's hardly any air flow in the fender because of the fog light.

Please also note that because my hood has extra vents(shown in photo below) on the sides, cool air flows directly into the custom intake heat shield box.

I'll be replacing the air filter in the photos with a foam filter and using Cobb Street Tuner to tune it once installed.

Not compared to the APS I had on there before(shown below), but the APS was too laggy and prevented me from installing a big Process West oil cooler.

When all's done I'm only looking to push 300whp efficiently(IE able to stay on it around the track for an hour+, not the sissy drag race street setups you see left and right) and get the hp to the wheels as quick as possible(low rpm's).
